Vancouver, - Tropos Networks Solution Helps Keep TransLink Buses on Schedule in Vancouver, B.C.

Tropos Networks announced today that its wireless IP broadband mesh network is now fully operational in Vancouver, BC, where it?s being used to improve the on-time performance of nearly 80 public transit buses along busy Main Street.

TransLink, the regional transportation authority, selected Novax Industries? Transit Signal Priority (TSP) system, TransPOD, with Tropos as the communications network.

TransLink initiated the Main Street project to reduce travel time and improve on-time performance, thereby increasing ridership, customer satisfaction and reducing operational costs. Moreover, it will be especially beneficial for the thousands of people navigating Vancouver during the upcoming 2010 Winter Olympics.
